Horizon Aircraft has announced a strategic partnership with MT-Propeller to supply propellers for Horizon’s hybrid turbine engine used in its Cavorite X7 aircraft.
The collaboration is Toronto, Canada-based Horizon Aircraft’s first major hardware commitment for the full-scale production aircraft.
The partnership will leverage MT-Propeller’s composite propeller expertise to deliver speed, efficiency, and noise reduction for the Cavorite X7 in development. The hybrid-electric aircraft is designed for both vertical take-off and conventional runway operations, utilizing MT’s propeller solutions for enhanced performance.
“Partnering with MT-Propeller underscores Horizon’s commitment to delivering a superior flying experience,” said Brian Robinson, chief engineer at Horizon Aircraft. “Together, we’re setting new standards for range, speed, and efficiency with our regional eVTOL. In particular, MT-Propeller’s low-noise design is well suited for operations around cities.”
According to the companies, the collaboration aims to enhance performance and sustainability in the eVTOL market through certified propeller technology. MT-Propeller specializes in composite propeller design.

Horizon is targeting regional transportation applications for its Cavorite X7 hybrid eVTOL aircraft .
The propeller selection addresses noise reduction requirements for urban operations while maintaining efficiency for regional flight missions. MT-Propeller’s composite technology also aims to provide the performance characteristics needed for the hybrid propulsion system.
